Learning and Growing in Williamsburg: DE Dancers attend MADM's November Workshop!

Curiosity is one of the best traits a dancer can have—an openness to new ideas and a willingness to learn by jumping headfirst into movement. A few weeks ago, many of our DE Company families made their annual pilgrimage to Williamsburg, Virginia, for a three-day workshop and audition event hosted by the Dance Masters of America. This tradition marks the heart of our fall season and a high point in our training calendar, a time when learning, growth, and inspiration flourish.

The weekend offered fertile ground for fresh creative breakthroughs, and our dancers embraced every moment. Their consistent dedication at the studio laid a strong foundation for success as they stepped into classes with new teachers and explored a variety of dance styles. We’re deeply grateful to MADM Chapter 17 for providing such enriching educational opportunities and for bringing in so many passionate and inspiring artists.

Our DE dancers shone beautifully in every class and audition, demonstrating attentiveness, engagement, and boundless curiosity. They tried new approaches, took risks, and expressed themselves with honesty and artistry. Several of our DE teachers also attended, continuing their own growth as educators by learning fresh ideas to bring back to their students.

A special congratulations goes out to Ms. India and Ms. Megan, who are now official members of MADM Chapter 17!
