DE Company Spring Happenings!
March was a busy month for DE’s company as they danced at their last 2 regional competitions of the 2026 season! First up, our dancers attended the MADM Chapter 17 Regional Competition in Burke, Virginia. This yearly affair is always one that our dancers look forward to, as they get to see familiar faces from other studios perform on stage. This competition is made up of our fellow Dance Masters of America Chapter 17 studios, whom we see at the MADM workshops we attend throughout the year. Many amazing friendships have blossomed from these events, which continue to remind us how small and how lovely the dance world is!
Here are some award highlights from the 2026 MADM Chapter 17 Competition:

Later in the month, we attended Precision Arts Challenge in Baltimore, Maryland! This competition was high-energy, with special sirens and lights for what they called their “PAC Attack Call Back”. For groups, getting this call back meant that they would get to perform again before the awards to compete for the title of Best in Show! For soloists who got a call back, they would have the opportunity to improvise to a jazz song before the awards to celebrate being selected as a Precision Performer. This was an exciting new element we had not experienced at a competition before, making it extra fun for our dancers!
All of our groups and soloists danced beautifully and made our teachers and families so proud!
